This was my 2nd attempt at painting with pastels, and my first attempt at painting a dog with pastels. It is a friend's dog, named Ivar. It is done using pan pastels, Jackson and Unison soft pastels, and Caran D'Ache,Stabilo and Faber Castell Pitt pastel pencils. The reference was from a series of photographs provided to me by my stepdaughter of her boyfriend's dog Ivar. The paper used is pastelmat.
