Water Wings

I wanted to convey that childhood joy of salt air, sunlight and just playing in the sand. My painting began with a simple sketch. Then I blocked in the major shapes with pastel and applied an alcohol wash on the shapes. Layers of soft pastel followed with pastel pencil for the small details.
