Presidio La Bahia
Pastel on Kitty Wallace Paper. La Bahia was a Spanish Fort and Mission occupied by approximately 300 Texans during their fight for independence in 1836. The Texans surrendered to Santa Anna shortly after the battle of the Alamo. All the Texans were marched out of the fort and executed. The Presidio La Bahia is now an historical landmark and museum located on the outskirts of Goliad, Texas.
