"Life Cycle" was done with a variety of soft pastel on sanded paper. This scene was inspired by a drive I took with my husband last winter from Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Sedona, Arizona. The juxtaposition of colors and textures formed by layers of multiple species of trees overlapped each other in this extensive vista. Some of the trees were part of a "burn", others bare from winter, others evergreen.
