Afternoon Nap depicts my studio cat on a lazy day. My style of pastel consists of bold quick gestures combined with more precise detailing. It is this juxtaposition of two opposing styles that gives life and distinction to my paintings. I find inspiration in artists such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Manet and am a self taught artist.
