Momarie

I used a combination of Schmincke and Rembrandt soft pastels, Derwent and Stabilo pastel pencils and compressed pastel sticks on Art Spectrum Colourfix Paper (9”x12”, fresh grey). The model is my French Grandmother Momarie around 50+ years. She lived to be 101 years and was living in New Mexico when it was still a territory. She went from horse drawn wagons in the Wild West to seeing men land on the moon and needing operators to make calls to cell phones. She was an amazing woman.
