Discovery

This painting was done using hard and soft stick pastels and Pastel pencils. Discovery was inspired by a trip I made to Minnesota and a chance meeting with a red Fox. It was misty and cold but the outing proved fruitful. His look was so intense in response to a sound near by it gripped me. I faded the background and brought more color and detail forward to give the painting more depth.
