I live in a coastal community and paint many marsh and bay related scenes. I am drawn to the beauty of color, light and texture of nature. This painting, of the Fire Island Inlet, off the coast of Long Island, N.Y., inspired me with it's backdrop of graduated color, and the amazingly beautiful relationship of the two figures- a mother and her daughter.
