Sakura

When I began work on this piece, I saw the background trees and clouds in the sky reflecting on the water gave the water an unusual, almost abstract combination of darks and lights. As I continued work, I wanted the actual Japanese cherry blossoms to be a mass of color while still gentle. They are delicate, but you feel their prominence and importance.
