Textures of Home

Textures of Home was created with soft pastels on Pastelmat. The inspiration for this piece is to celebrate the beautiful textures within our homes. I'm most inspired by them during the wintertime when I spend so many hours indoors, often warming by the fireplace. The cast iron kettle and small wool rug in particular remind me so much of the resilience of our ancestors. A resilience we've had to tap into especially during these trying times.
