Barnyard beauty

This sassy lass was strutting her stuff for all to admire. The underpainting is semi-transparent water-miscible oil paint, which was used to create the suggested background texture. Panpastels were then applied to colorize the background, and the barnyard beauty was developed with multiple layers of soft pastel, scratched through to create the appearance of soft, delicate feathers.
