Mission San Jose Rose Window

This painting is of the The Rose Window, found on the south wall of the church sacristy for the San Jose Mission in San Antonio Texas. It was sculpted in 1775, and is described as the site where the Host was shown to gathered Mission celebrants during the Feast of Pentecost. The window stands as a symbol of the history of Texas, of the hundreds of years of hope, and of inspiration gained through beauty.
