Kah Tai Lagoon

My paintings draw inspiration from family contexts, places and life-long memories that speak to me emotionally. Through painting, I intend to capture the senses evocative of place and place and time-coolness and warmth of color and air, musicality of a rising wind, the varied personalities of water and tides, light emerging and disappearing, tides advancing and receding. My paintings explore layering, color and texture, the additive and subtractive visual resonances found in natural forms shaped by water.
