High Desert Lupine

High Desert Lupine, Emerging Pastel Artist
High Desert Lupine
This image represents an area off of Munz Ranch Road located on the south end of the Antelope Valley during the spring time. It is a hilly area where the lupine bushes were amazingly 3 to 4 feet high with intense purple blue lupine stalks ranging from 12" to 18" long. Of course California poppies and other wildflowers were blooming at the same time, where usually the poppies are the stars of the show. This time it was the lupine blooming along the road and hillsides that stole the show.
