This painting is soft pastel on UART sanded paper. It was inspired by, and painted for, my wonderful and beautiful mother-in-law. She has been so supportive of me in my art, as well as in my academic and professional pursuits. Chickadees hold a special place in her heart and are as strong, fearless, and resilient as she is.
