Shred the Berm

The pastel medium is the perfect way to capture the energy and power of the mountain biker. Creating a underpainting applying water mixable oil paint with a brayer allows me to lay a foundation for the painting. Pastels are manipulated with different tools like brushes, razor blades, and found objects to help enhance the mark making and create great sense of motion.
