"Winter Warmth -- Adagio in D"

A walk in winter's woods on a warm sunny day. I was inspired by the warmth of the sunlight on the snow. I chose the opposite colors of yellow and purple to highlight the tension between sunlight's warmth, and winter's snow (which most would consider to be cold). As a pianist, I have always thought of the musical key of D Major to be represented by the color yellow. Adagio is a "walking" tempo, it also aludes to the circular movement of the piece.
